Great news – you  are about to enter a journey of exploration, discovery and development. 

We take your safety and protection very seriously. That’s why all our Creation Station franchise owners are DBS checked, First Aiders, Safeguarding trained and Health and Safety trained. We only use art and crafts activities and products that are safe tried and tested to give you peace of mind. We also take the protection of your data very seriously and are GDPR compliant. 

We have put together the following terms to help run a positive and safe experience for all attendees.

Please check and confirm you agree to the following terms and conditions prior to you or your child or children taking part in The Creation Station activities.

We aim to provide the highest quality experiences for all our customers. We are committed to the safety of all persons who attend our experiences lessons and to deliver the highest standard of service.

Participating in a Creation Station activity is your own risk without any proven negligence, breach of duty of care or lack of due diligence by The Creation Station Ltd and your local Creation Station Franchise owner or its employees.

Payment Methods and Confirmation of Place

Payment is through our online booking system and you will receive an automated reply confirming your place. We will create an account for you, so you can login and see and manage your bookings. 

If payment is made through any other way than card payment using the online booking system, your place will be confirmed on full payment.

Refunds, Holidays and Sickness Policy

If you cannot attend a class, you can contact your local Creation Station leader to enquire about transferring your space to another day in the week or for adult classes in the month. This will only be possible if there is availability in other classes ran by your local Creation Station leader. Alternatively, you can transfer your class to a friend.

Regrettably, we cannot offer discounts or refunds to cover your booked holidays due to the need to ensure continuity of service.

If you need to change the day of the class you attend, there may be an administration charge of up to one class for any changes made. You would need to inform your Class Leader in this instance.

Cancellation of Classes policy

The Creation Station will endeavour to run classes during bad weather for example snow conditions. However, should we need to cancel due to safety concerns, the person who booked the will be contacted. 

Please check your local Creation Station Facebook page and make sure your phone number is kept up to date on your Creation Station account on our website. 

An additional class will be offered if we must cancel a class or credit against a future term's fees. Regrettably, we cannot automatically offer cash refunds. 

Illness

Excluding online activities, parents and carers are asked to keep their children at home if they have a serious infection and to inform the setting as to the nature of the infection so that other parents can be alerted.

Please keep your child or yourself at home if he/she/you:

  • Has a fever or has had one in the previous 24 hours
  • Has had an upset stomach or diarrhoea in the previous 48 hours
  • Has heavy nasal discharge
  • Has discharging eyes

Has symptoms of possible communicable diseases such as:

  • Measles
  • Chicken pox
  • German measles
  • Whooping cough
  • Impetigo
  • Scarlett Fever
  • Hand, foot and mouth disease
  • Norovirus

We cannot offer a refund for a lesson missed due to illness. You may offer your place to a friend, for the session. You would need to inform your Creation Station class leader in this instance.

Use of mobile phones and cameras

From time to time The Creation Station leader may use an agreed Creation Station photographic device to take photos of the artwork. In the case of an emergency, the agreed phone may be used to record an incident for reporting purposes only. Photographs will only be taken of children with their parents’ permission, and adults with adult permission.

Health & Safety and Hygiene Policies

Creation Station follows rigorous internal checks of the venue and its own equipment to ensure that they are clean and safe. Daily Risk Assessments are conducted.

Excluding online activities, we ask that all parents and carers to remove their shoes while in the Baby Discover class to reduce the chance of transmission of microorganisms. Shoes need to be worn to visit the bathroom within class times and care exercised to avoid slips.

The Creation Station is a member of the British Franchise Association and Gold Accredited member of the Children's Activities Association and meets their standards in all operational aspects.

Any child using an item created during a Creation Station event, requires adult supervision when using the item outside of The Creation Station event.

Protection of property

Please note that your property left during the activity is your responsibility and Creation Station cannot take any responsibility for the safeguarding of these items.

Data Protection

The information on this form contains personal data.

The Creation Station will record, process and keep your personal information secure in accordance with the GDPR regulations May 2018. Information will not be passed to a third party unless you have opted in during the booking process. We take the protection of your privacy very seriously and detail how we manage your data in our privacy policy.

 

ACTIVITIES WITH PARENT/GUARDIAN SUPERVISION

Any child using an item created during a Creation Station event, requires adult supervision when using the item outside of The Creation Station event. 

We cannot cover any damages incurred during the creation of an item during an event  or after the event.   

Supervision and withdrawal of service

All children must be supervised always and not left unattended. If you attend with more than one child you will need to have either another adult available or an arrangement with another parent, should they need to take one of your children to the bathroom.

The class leader cannot be responsible for a child at any time. 

Should a carer or associated visitor behave in a way that the Class Leader feels is unreasonable then the company reserves the rights to withdraw the provision of classes to the client. 

Videos, photographs and confidentiality

We love you taking pictures or videos of your children or the activities during the course, provided it doesn't interfere with the class. In addition, please always be sensitive of taking pictures of others without their permission. If you are asked to stop, please do respect the rights of others.

In addition, if your Creation Station leader feels that the amount of video is excessive, then you may be asked to stop. Please remember that much of the content of the class is under copyright and while we are very happy for you to practice at home, these are not to be incorporated into another public activity without our permission.

Renewals

No later than two weeks before your term runs out your class leader will ask you whether you wish to renew for another term. Your Creation Station leader will inform you of the mechanism to rebook your space and payment terms. Note however that places remain on a first come first served basis.

UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES. E.G. CREATE CLUB, HOLIDAY CLUBS

At our club, we expect all children to behave appropriately. If a child's behaviour is deemed inappropriate, we will promptly inform the parent or guardian who made the booking.

Should a child's behaviour become disruptive to the extent that it hinders the quality of the class and affects other children, we reserve the right to exclude the child from the class

 We ask that you agree to support The Creation Station staff to help set the right example to the children by treating our colleagues with the respect they deserve whilst at work.

Child Welfare

Excluding online activities where you child is taking part at home, in the event of an emergency, I consent to the seeking of any necessary emergency medical advice or treatment in the future during the running of the club. 

I understand that if my child has suffered from diarrhoea, sickness, high temperature/fever or conjunctivitis, I need to keep my child away from the club for a period of 48 hours after such condition has ceased. 

If my child is suffering from head lice, I must keep them away from the club until the hair has been fully treated and cleared. 

Should your child suffer from any of the above whilst at the club, the staff to be will contact you or your nominated emergency person and ask for your child to be collected as soon as possible. 

In the event that your child is ill, or distressed in a way that the staff deem the best course of action of for your child to be taken home, we will contact you or your or your nominated emergency person and ask for your child to be collected as soon as possible. 

Unless stated in the allergies section on the form, I give permission for Creation Station staff to use antiseptic wipes and/or plasters should they be needed.

Please remember that much of the content of the class is under copyright and while we are very happy for you to practice at home, these are not to be incorporated into another public activity without our written permission.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

Creation Station from time to time updates these T&Cs. It will inform you of changes through regular channels of communication and you have 14 days to opt out of accepting changes in writing. Failure to do so will entitle Creation Station to treat this agreement with you as being updated with the changes.
