Emma McCalla-John wins the prestigious ‘Creation Station Franchisee of the Year 2021’ award.

Here’s Emma story:

"What a year this has been for so many reasons, the challenges have been big but my passion for getting things done has been bigger!

This year I have:

  • Doubled my business! My Create Clubs have increased from ten per week in 2020-2021, to twenty per week in 2021-2022.
  • Scaled my business by hiring two part-time members of staff.
  • Volunteered and become Franchise Advisory Council for Central region.
  • Become a Business Development Manager.
  • Taken on more responsibility within the network, including running the National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC

Whilst volunteering with on the Franchise Advisory Council I was able to support the local region and feedback their thoughts and ideas to Head Office in a trusted manner."

My role as Business Development Manager see’s me support others within the network, host meetings, update the Facebook group and ensure information is passed on in a timely manner.

In addition to this I am always available for a business review or a friendly supportive chat.

"As a Business Development Manager, I know what it is like to run a small business and juggle the day-to-day tasks.

I love my role as Business Development Manager. I strive to be the best I can be. I am always learning from others and always willing to ‘have a go!’

I run all three licenses, families education and adults. The Education License is my passion!  I continue to ‘get business and keep business’, whilst networking and developing new contacts within schools and the wider community.

I am especially proud of my work with children with special educational needs and disabilities  (SEND). I ran  SEND socials over the summer of 2021, providing inspiration for young people with additional needs. I inspire just around 250 children a week during term time Create Clubs.

This may be a large number, but bigger than this is my love of what I do!

The demand for what we do is huge and so I took on and trained two exceptional members of staff. Amber and Elizabeth.  I took time to train and develop them and instil our Creation Station values."

Huge congratulations to Emma for bringing so much creativity into her local community and being such an epic superstar and support to the whole team.

The Creation Station Brand Values

"This has given me the chance to expand my business and also develop my management skills.

The National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC has always had a special place in my heart as this is where I found Creation Station! As well as an information stand we also provide a kids zone activity area so that parents can bring the children so everyone can be inspired!

Four years on and I now lead this event! I love this! I add authenticity to the event as my journey to success started there. I am hoping to inspire others to start their own creative journey with The Creation Station and fulfill their potential as I feel I am."

"My family know how important Creation Station is to me and support me all the way by volunteering at parties and events. They know how much Creation Station continues to positively impact my life."
