Making the decision to change your career and to run your own business is something that many people only ever dreamed of doing. But now, according to a report in The Financial Times on 12th Oct 2017, Britain hit record numbers of people starting their own business with 660,00 new businesses launching up from 608,000.

Starting a new business can be daunting and that’s why investing in a franchise business is very popular. With a franchise, you are investing in a proven system and business model, which can make it a much lower risk option than starting your own business from scratch. Consequently, the banks are often more willing to lend money to get a new franchise off the ground than they are to conventional start-ups.

With the squeeze on creativity in childhood, The Creation Station is looking to support more children and communities with its award-winning, fun and educational art and crafts classes, parties and events.

In January 2018 The Creation Station offered a grant for up to £2,000 towards the cost of The Creation Station franchise. With franchise cost starting at £7,999 plus vat, with the inclusion of £3,000 worth of stock, this has proved to be a very attractive opportunity.

Grant long

To date, the Creation Station has awarded grants to the value of £18,000 to the following nine people;

Suzi who joined the Creation Station family in February said “The grant allowed me to make the decision of taking on the option to run after schools clubs part of the business much easier. The fact that I didn’t have to pay the grant back, really helped to make the thought of running my own business a lot less daunting idea”

Suzi has since reported that knowing she had the grant helped her settle in and get a great head start in her first few months. Suzi has her first after-school Create Club starting next week – everyone at Creative Hub sends their wishes ‘Good Luck Suzi – you’ll be fabulous!’

With so many positive outcomes from the grant, the deadline has been extended to 30th June 2018.
