I was getting the feeling that after 18 days of ‘creating’ at our kitchen table Boo was getting a little antsy and what I really didn’t want to do was make our creative time seem like a chore to him!
The weather was actually pretty good so we bundled up and headed out into the garden. I think it’s sometimes difficult for people to see that creativity doesn’t have to be about sitting at a table painting or gluing with materials bought from a shop. It’s also about using the things we find around us in our day-to-day lives. Autumn is a great season for this – there are so many lovely leaves falling, and conkers on the ground – the colours are as bright as any paint palette.
Boo and I spent some time exploring the garden and all the different plants that were appearing with the new season. I’d taken some giant chalk out with us to take a look at, and whilst we were collecting some leaves for our ‘make’ I asked Boo what we should draw – I should’ve guessed…..
So with a bit of help from Mummy, we practised writing his name and looking at the different letters and then added our own little piece of ‘nature art’ – aswell as the spider :)
Day 19 DONE! 81 to go!
