Creation Station Christmas Countdown - Day 17

Stained Glass Window Make your own stained glass windows using some simple materials. You will need:

  • Black card or paper
  • Tissue paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • pencil

Step 1 Draw your design on black paper. Cut it out and then cut out the inside of the shape to create an outline image. An adult may need to help with this part as it can be complicated. holly      holly2 Step 2 Turn your image onto it's back and spread glue along the edge on the black paper. Using the collage materials you have gathered, start placing them over the image, aiming to cover all the space inside the picture. It doesn't matter if it overlaps over the edge as you can cut this off later. holl3  holl4 Step 3 Once you have finished decorating. Turn the window over and cut around the edge to remove the bits over hanging. holl5 Step 4 Mount your stained glass on a window and watch all the magical colours and patterns it throws into the room. holly6 We would love to see your fantastic stained glass windows so please send pictures to art@thecreationstation.co.uk

We love creation station

We love creation station, the girls love getting their delivery to the door. Catherine has supplied us with lots of crafts through lockdown. The girls and myself are looking forward to making the Christmas cards.

Alix at Creation Station provided a wonderful party for our daughter's 7th birthday. Despite the Covid-19 restrictions, which she navigated firmly but without them ever feeling like they dominated the party, the children had the most wonderful time. As a parent, it was a real relief to be able to step back and let someone so experienced, so warm and so friendly, take the children through their activities. Our little girl said it was 'everything she wished for' - you can't ask for more than that!

We really enjoyed the Christmas session…

We really enjoyed the Christmas session today. Sharon was lovely and really helpful when we wanted to do a baby handprint. The set up was fab and we felt very safe and everything had been really well planned With Covid. The Little Beans cafe was also a great venue we will definitely be visiting again. We look forward to getting our cards and tags! Thanks so much

Create Club

My son really enjoyed the after school create clubs ran by Nicola so when given the chance to do them through lockdown over zoom he was thrilled. The materials provided were really high quality and the sessions provided great ideas which the kids could use whilst also being encouraged to use their own imaginations. It was great that the sessions had an educational side to them too having different themes. The sessions ran at the right pace for the kids and anything they didn’t quite finish could easily be finished afterwards. It was lovely for the children to be able to chat and interact over zoom and see each other’s ideas whilst making their creations. We would highly recommend them!

Create Club online; North West Nottingham- a fantastic engaging online art space for kids

Create Club has been a fantastic addition to our life during lockdown and continues to offer a creative space for my children 6 and 8 to explore and grow their creative side. Nicola offers a diverse range of subject matter tackling cultural art from around the world, a variety of contemporary artists and the relationship between art and science to name but a few. The children have enjoyed using many different mediums during their sessions, and all of the materials are provided and promptly and safely delivered to our home in time for our zoom class. The classes are fun and engaging and Nicola is fantastic at gauging the needs of her attendees and pacing the sessions accordingly. Every child is valued and listened to and supported well. My children often want to continue creating long after a session finishes, so inspired are they by what they have learnt. I would wholeheartedly recommend trying one of the online create club courses if you’re looking for an after school club without the worry of social distancing and doing a mad dash after school and I don’t think anyone could be disappointed by the content or value they offer.

Lovely class for my 2year old

Me and my daughter really enjoyed the little explorers class. There was lots packed into the hour, some lovely things to make and great that she had something to take home with her. She was so excited to show everyone! I would definitely reccomend this class and it's well worth the money.
