Hello, I’m Emma and I run the Creation Station franchise in Harborne and surrounding areas, Birmingham. I love working with children and developing their creativity, expressing themselves through arts and crafts. Getting messy is all part of the fun! When I first saw The Creation Station I knew it was for me. I totally fell in love with the idea of working with children creatively. I did lots of research and realised that I could have the work life balance I desired whilst impacting positively on families within my local community.

Hello, I’m Emma and I run the Creation Station franchise in Harborne and surrounding areas, Birmingham. I love working with children and developing their creativity, expressing themselves through arts and crafts. Getting messy is all part of the fun!

When I first saw The Creation Station I knew it was for me. I totally fell in love with the idea of working with children creatively. I did lots of research and realised that I could have the work life balance I desired whilst impacting positively on families within my local community.

I have been a teacher for the past 19 years working with children in both primary and secondary schools. I specialised in SEN and I am passionate about inclusion.  I love teaching and wanted to use my skills to meet people and to develop children of all abilities.

Running Creation Station means every day is different. No one class or party is ever the same. Each child is special and every piece of art they produce is a one off. There is something really special about being a part of a child’s development and seeing the joy it brings to them and their families.

As well as loving getting messy, I am also a keen musician. I play the saxophone and clarinet and also sing. I sing in a local choir and play in different bands when I get a chance. You’ll often hear me singing along to my favourite tunes! I enjoy going out with my family and friends, listening to music and dancing. I love clothes shopping too but often end up buying things for my very fashion conscious daughter.

Arts & Craft Classes for Kids

I run Arts & Craft classes for children of all ages, from 0-6 months to 18 years +. See below an outline of all the different classes that take place within Harborne and surrounding areas.

Tiny Treasures

A class specifically designed for baby’s and their parents. A social and gentle way to build those strong connections, to help your baby grow and develop and to give you a social and fun activity to share with other parents too.

Baby Discover 6 months +

A class that supports your baby’s development as they discover their amazing new world. Our sensory and educational based creative classes help you introduce your baby to a wide range of safe and nurturing experiences.

Little Explorers 15 months +

A class that inspires your child’s imagination and nurtures their creativity and potential with fun, hands-on arts and crafts.

Create Club 5 years +

Our programmes have won the prestigious ‘Innovation in Children's Education Award’. From painting to modelling, sculpting to experimenting, our classes are a fantastically fun, creative, after-school club.

Family Fun 2-11 years

A class that is for both girls and boys from the age of two to eleven years of age. Perfect for the whole family to spend some quality time together.

Creative Crafters 18 years +

A class where you can create gorgeous crafts, handmade gifts or just enjoy getting creative in a relaxed and social environment.

My son loves it

We've been to creation station for almost a year now, my son still loves it. He gets to be creative and I don't have to clean up the mess, which is a bonus. Emma is great with all the children. Highly recommend this activity from a young age, learn about textures, colours, shapes etc.

Chilled!

Brilliant afternoon at Slug and Lettuce in Harborne with Emma from The Ctreaion Station. Love the crafts and how relaxed the session is. Great chance to catch up with friends and try something I'd never do at home! Will def be going again.

Had a great experience at Creation Station

Had a great experience at Creation Station at Harborne today. The class leader was really welcoming and friendly; the activities were well thought out and linked together through the theme of a colour which made the session flow brilliantly. My little girl is 18 months and loved it! She had so much fun doing hand and foot prints with paint, gluing and glittering her ‘bear’ and getting to play with clay - all things I wouldn’t do at home (with fear of the mess!) It was lovely to come away with something that she’d actually made too, which she’s been very proud to show off. Thanks for the great session.

fun with friends

Had a very pleasant afternoon at a Creative Crafters event. The host was lovely and explained everything clearly. There were lots of inspiring equipment to create with and everyone was very friendly. Definitely want to attend another of these events and would certainly recommend.
