Why I decided to run my own Creation Station...
After having my first child, Charlie, I was looking for a career which would fit better around my new family and give me to spend more time at home than my previous role as a History teacher. When I discovered The Creation Station, I thought it was a fantastic opportunity which would allow me to continue working with children, whilst also getting to be creative and have fun in my work. I was nervous about taking the leap to start my own business, but have been fully supported by The Creation Station from the very beginning and am loving being part of the family.
What I did before I ran my own Creation Station...
I have a History degree and spent several years working for the National Trust at various properties across the Midlands. I then worked as a History teacher before taking time out to have my first child.
What I love about running my own Creation Station...
I find it incredibly rewarding to see the joy to being creative can bring, in adults and children alike! I love being able to inspire this as part of my job.
Something you probably don’t know about me...
I got married in Central Park, New York City.
Things I love doing...
I love books, going to the cinema, family walks with our dog, visiting historical places, travelling whenever we can, organising things, and buying stationery.
My favourite joke...
What do you call a man with a paper bag on his head? Russell...
My favourite food...
Chocolate, warm crusty bread with butter, and extra mature cheddar - not all at the same time though!
