About Kelly


Hi, I'm Kelly!

Prior to inspiring imaginations at the Creation Station I worked as a primary school teacher spending most of my career in the Early Years. I am a firm believer in allowing children to explore their innate curiosity and giving them the freedom to use their imaginations in creative ways! My favourite phrase is ‘the process is more important than the finished product!’ Let’s be honest being creative is also just heaps of fun!!!

I am mummy to two wonderfully sparkly (and slightly crazy!) little girls. Eloise is our energetic, dinosaur and spiderman loving 3 year old who makes us laugh each and every day. Ffion is an art and craft, singing and ballet loving 7 year old whose imagination and creativity amazes us everyday. Kelvin is my husband who coming from an art background knows first hand the importance of nurturing creativity and is happy (most of the time!) with the creative masterpieces that occur at our dining room table on a daily basis!

I  run a variety of award winning creative art and craft classes from birth to the elderly as well as after school clubs so everyone is welcome! Fabulous

Kelly at the creation station is fantastic! She keeps the children engaged and provides everything to get messy and crafty without the clear up you’d have to do at home. My 19 month old toddler loves it every time.

Christmas Spectacular

Christmas Spectacular! Absolutely loved my first baby group experience with The Creation Station! My little girl is only 3 weeks old so there aren’t many groups we can attend, it was great to have this experience. We made some lovely keepsakes for her 1st Christmas and Kelly could not have been more welcoming or helpful. A genuinely lovely lady who we’re excited to see again for our next crafting adventure ?

Absolutely brilliant Halloween slime…

Absolutely brilliant Halloween slime workshop this morning. Kelly’s communication leading up to the session was clear and concise. Upon arrival at the session the different family areas were clearly marked out and adequately spaced. The hall was well ventilated and used a one way system with hand sanitiser available. My four year old thoroughly enjoyed the slime making process and everything was clearly laid out in front of her throughout allowing for a good level of independence, with only two ingredients added by Kelly herself. We loved the spooky googly eye, 3D glow in the dark spiders and various Halloween themed shape sequins contents that all went into the mix. My daughter was given a very sweet little button up overall to wear, and using the paper straw to blow bubbles was a HUGE hit and induced lots of laughter! Kelly was very friendly and enthusiastic as always and I was very grateful of her accommodating my 1year old who ended up having to come along by providing some paper and drawing equipment. Thank you :)

We had the best time at the creation…

We had the best time at the creation station in hucknall. Kelly made it feel relaxed and informal so many different materials on offer. We will definitely be back again soon

Always enjoy an evening with Kelly. Always full of info, support and guidance. I find the choice of crafts to try fun and relaxing. Because of my evenings with Kelly I have tried crafts i would never think to try and have found some that have become hobbies. I will keep attending Kelly's creation station evenings for the foreseeable future.
