About Claire


Why I decided to run my own Creation Station. 
After getting a little jaded and despondent in education I decided I wanted more creative freedom and imagination in my life as it was gradually squeezed out the curriculum. I love working with children and wanted to continue working with them and see their smiley faces everyday. I have always fancied running my own business but never felt confident to make that leap.  When I came across the Creation Station it offered everything I wanted but with the support and brand awareness that takes years to build up. Now it is time to take the leap!

What I did before I ran my own Creation Station. 
After leaving university I spent 4 years running a Theatre in Education Company. I then moved into working in schools as a Learning Mentor in a primary school. This then inspired me to go into teaching and I have been a class teacher with responsilibty for music, PSHCE and religious education ever since,

What I love about running my own Creation Station.  
Running my own Creation Station is like rolling lots of fun and the best parts of my other jobs into one!  The joy on children's faces and families having fun is something that I will never tire of seeing. 

Something you probably don’t know about me. 
I am currently studying Karate at a local dojo! 

Things I love doing. 
Besides anything creative I love walking, reading and spending time with my family. I also love family holidays in the sunshine. 

My favourite joke.  
Knock knock, who's there, knock knock , who's there, knock knock, no one's home! (you can keep this going for ages!)

My favourite food.  
Cake, cake and more cake!

Fantastic sessions

Fantastic play session Claire is amazing with the children, my son doesn't like to get messy but Claire helped him to join in and play with the paints.

Creation Station - first visit but not the last!

This was our first time at The Creation Station, and we loved it. The activities were geared perfectly towards my daughter’s age and abilities, Claire was interactive and encouraging and it was lots of fun! We will definitely be back.
