Hello from Sharon

Hello, I'm Sharon and I run the Creation Station franchise for Cranbrook, Exminster and surrounding areas. I'm a parent of two boys and a girl so I know first-hand what it's like to find fun classes and activities that spark their natural curiosity and develop their growing minds. Plus, I know the value of meeting other like-minded parents and spending good, quality time with grown ups. That's why I am delighted to be able to help you with this through a whole range of our award-winning craft classes such as our lovely newborn keepsake classes, our preschool baby and toddler classes, arty birthday party entertainment, after school clubs, family fun classes and lots of other events. We also have some fantastic adult craft classes to give you a bit of time away from the kids. About Sharon


Why I decided to run my own Creation Station. 
After getting tired and a little despondent in education I decided I wanted more creative freedom. I love working with children and wanted something that didn't require meeting a target, being marked in numerous coloured highlighters and where the children were process driven and not focussed on an end product or result. I have always fancied running my own business but never felt confident to make that leap.  When I came across the Creation Station it offered everything I wanted but with the support and brand awareness that takes years to build up.  It is without doubt the best move I have made. 

What I did before I ran my own Creation Station. 
After leaving university I spent 11 years working in public health for the NHS before leaving to retrain as a primary school teacher as well as being a mum of three. 

What I love about running my own Creation Station.  
Running my own Creation Station is like combining every hobby and best part of previous jobs into one!  I love planning exciting activities and finding new ways to inspire even more creativity. Where else could you plan your own week, meet wonderful children, adults and families, make fantastic creations and spend time with your own family? I also love the endless possibilities if offers. I have so many things I want to do with the business and I know in time they will all be possible. 

Something you probably don’t know about me. 
As a child I was at stage school in London with Shakin' Stevens son and daughter! 

Things I love doing. 
Besides anything creative and crafty I love walking and cycling and spending time with my family.  I have been lucky enough to travel and would love to do more in the future. 
My favourite joke.  
Probably can't mention my real favourite! So I'll go with this one ...  Why did the skeleton not go to the party?  Because he had no body to go with! 

My favourite food.  
Roast dinner all the way.

Very Hungry Caterpillar 5 star special event session ?

We had a lovely time at the special Hungry Caterpillar session today! What a great association with one of our favourite books! A good range of activities for babies and toddlers and we loved the canvas keepsake to take aware and treasure. Sharon is delightful to all of the customers young and old!
