London's St Patrick's Day celebrations include inspiring family fun with The Creation Station.

The 2013 St Patrick's Festival in Trafalgar Square will be a day when London's Irish communities celebrate their Irishness, in the company of tens of thousands of other Londoners as well as visitors to the capital.  The celebrations are supported by the Mayor of London and will begin with a parade from Piccadilly at 12 noon. The festivities in Trafalgar Square will offer an exciting family-friendly showcase of the best of Irish arts and heritage.[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LeOuJ1Y3W4?rel=0&w=560&h=315]

The Creation Station will be providing Irish themed arts and craft fun as part of the  celebrations of both the deep roots of Irish communities in London and also the present-day energy and vibrancy of Irishness in London and beyond. There will be an emphasis on the best of Irish-London creativity and culture Sarah Cressall, founder for The Creation station said “The event is going to be a day of wonderful Irish celebrations with an exciting range of free activities for families to be inspired. We are delighted to be part of the celebrations with hands on creative activities for children aged one to eleven years.” says Sarah  “Children and their families can have hours of fun in the arts and crafts tent, from playing 'match the flags to the 33 counties' to painting and creating sparkly eye masks and beaded shamrock key rings. Younger kids will be able to create their own button charm bracelet from pipe cleaners and buttons”The St Patrick's Day Festival in Trafalgar Square is free and runs from 12 noon until 6pm.

Other highlights on the day include ‘Puca’, a giant inflatable dragon created by leading artist Keith Payne, who has designed inflatables for the Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd, as well as traditional and contemporary dancing; a comedy tent hosted by the London Irish Comedy Festival; a film tent showing film shorts by Irish filmmakers; and a food market with the chance to sample produce from the Emerald Isle. For more information visit www.london.gov.uk or for more information about creative activities visit www.thecreationstation.co.uk

About Us.

First and foremost, we are PASSIONATE about nurturing creativity!

What does that mean for us? Well, we love having fun with different materials - paint, glue and, of course, a bit of glitter – but we also believe that being creative is about experimenting, playing and just seeing what happens.

Giving expression to your own imagination in a group setting provides lots of benefits. It helps young children learn to make choices, share, listen, observe, pretend, problem solve, as well as play and interact with others.

The Creation Station isn’t simply about learning how to paint, model or collage along the lines of “Here’s one we did earlier”. It’s all about having a go, being inspired by something quite simple and encouraging each person to develop their own ideas. It’s amazing seeing that happen and it also gives you a huge boost of confidence when your ideas are taken seriously - no matter how old you are!

Brilliant class

Absolutely loved the online 'air drying clay' session, it was just so nice to do something for myself, from the comfort of home. Being a single mum, I find it very hard to get out for classes, so this was the perfect solution. Nat was so lovely, she made it so enjoyable - thank you xxx

Excellent service! Great choices!

In the middle of lockdown, we ordered a number of craft packs from Alexis and were very pleased with the service. She helped us to choose some fantastic kits that our 4 year old loved. They were all great quality and personally delivered very quickly. I have already and would continue to highly recommend the creation station. I also run a homeschooling group on Facebook and can confirm that the members have all been really pleased with the offering and service available.

I absolutely loved Nats class!

I absolutely loved Nats class!! She made myself and my daughter feel so welcome on zoom!!! The class had a really cosy, casual feel, but I also learnt a new skill!!! Nat took time to make sure each of us felt confident! She valued our art and gave us lots of praise! I'm not arty, but I came away thinking I can do this!! This was my first class with Nat, and I will definitely be joining one of her classes again!!

Fabulous Alexis

Had a fab online mandala class with Alexis last night from the comfort of my own garden in North Staffs. Alexis made the whole thing really easy to follow, went the extra mile with our resources and I was super pleased with the result. She's also provided craft packs for my kids during lockdown which have been amazing.

Online Mandala Class

I really enjoyed the online Mandala class with Nat at Stafford South. She was really great at explaining the technique and made sure everyone felt at ease. There was a good mix of conversation and concentration! Nat was very professional, friendly and encouraging. I will definitely be doing more of her online classes in the future.
