Keeping The Creative Soul Alive! | Crafting for Adults

I have just returned home from a weekend away with some amazing women and men from our Annual Creation Station Conference.  I had a blast and have come back full of motivation and renewed enthusiasm for my business!   It then got me thinking...why do I love it so much?

The sparkliest conference this year!

I have just returned home from a weekend away with some amazing women and men from our Annual Creation Station Conference.  I had a blast and have come back full of motivation and renewed enthusiasm for my business!

It then got me thinking...why do I love it so much?

To put it simply, I just love sharing my crafting knowledge in the hope that it inspires someone, somehow and brightens their day.  When I was first awarded my Creation Station franchise, it was all about the children, and in a massive way it still is – but now I find myself gravitating towards the adults, hoping that I can bring back a bit of sparkle to their lives.

I craft for many reasons.

I think there is something beautiful about being able to give a gift to someone that is made just for them, with your own two hands.

I craft because it provides a great stress relief and frees my mind.

I craft because I can’t imagine ever not crafting.

Ultimately, I craft to keep my soul happy, it was what I was born to do and I never intend to stop.

Bringing a bit of sparkle back with adult craft classes

So, here’s the short version: I’m drawn to creativity in every part of my life. I have been a glass artist for at least the last 10 years, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve always been making something.

I’m a craft addict, and have tried my hand at many skills, but 3 years ago I invested in a business that helped show me how my crafting and creativity could inspire and benefit children in a world where creativity was fast approaching extinction!

Fast forward that 3 years and I am now inspiring over 3,000 children (and also adults) a year bringing creativity back to life!  For me, crafting really helps my mental health, it fills me with complete happiness. I sometimes liken it to my Slime Making Workshops and the amazing reaction you get from the children that moment when you add in your Activator to the mix and the “magic” starts to happen!

Gooey, gloopy, glorious slime fun!

Don’t get me wrong, there have been times when I have lost my “mojo” and it didn’t matter what I sat down to do – it just didn’t work or look right.  But then I would sit down at one of my 'Creative Crafter' adult craft sessions and take in the fact that there were 10 or so ladies (and gents!) in front of me showing me their “sparkle” – and that feeling is truly amazing!

I would like to see art and creativity in all areas of learning and life – to help educate and entertain us and to help provide healthy minds and wellbeing within the community.

If you feel you have lost your “sparkle”, let me help you get it back – come to an Adult Creative Crafters session.  It’s all about FUN and keeping our creative soul alive!
