Marbling eggs 2

Easter is upon us and with this fun craft activity you can create an Easter centrepiece for your table and everyone can get involved in the making.

People all over the world are celebrating Easter by eating chocolate eggs, going on egg hunts and inviting friends and family over for an Easter meal.

This year make your table stand out with this lovely decoration that will wow your guests because of its unique design as no 2 eggs will come out the same.

The children will love marbling too as it's a lot of fun and you can mix and match as many colours as you like. Have a go at creating this awesome centrepiece that is so easy to make, it will make you want to marble everything you see!

You will need:

  • Polystyrene eggs
  • Marbling inks
  • Ribbon
  • Drawing pins
  • Water
  • Plastic container/tub
  • Gloves
  • Scissors
  • Willow

Step 1:

Cut approx 30 cmm of the willow and stick the egg on top.

Step 2:

Add marbling inks to the water in the plastic container. Put in 10 drops to start off with, add as many drops in as you want. The more you add, the more consistent colours will look.

Step 3:

Cut off a little bit of the willow to use as a stirring stick to create your unique patterns on water.

Step 4:

Put on gloves and carefully dip the egg in the water solution. Marbling inks are oily and very tricky to get off so use gloves and be careful as the egg will jump back up.

Step 5:

Make a bow from the ribbon and attach it to the top of the egg with a drawing pin. It will be easier to dry this way.

Step 6:

Hang up and leave to dry for approx. 15-20 minutes.

Had a great experience at Creation Station

Had a great experience at Creation Station at Harborne today. The class leader was really welcoming and friendly; the activities were well thought out and linked together through the theme of a colour which made the session flow brilliantly. My little girl is 18 months and loved it! She had so much fun doing hand and foot prints with paint, gluing and glittering her ‘bear’ and getting to play with clay - all things I wouldn’t do at home (with fear of the mess!) It was lovely to come away with something that she’d actually made too, which she’s been very proud to show off. Thanks for the great session.

I booked Creation station (Nicole…

I booked Creation station (Nicole Norman) for son's 6th Birthday Party and it was win win. I couldn't believe how engaging and wonderful party it was, all the kids (around 22-23) thoroughly enjoyed all the activities. My son said he had the best party EVER! I received the similar feedback from other mums that their kids had the most wonderful time. Thanks to Nicole I didn't have worry at all I enjoyed the party as much as kids did. Thanks to Creation Station and I highly recommend booking them for stress free and wonderful party.

Our session at The Creation Station…

Our session at The Creation Station today was brilliant. Lots of activities which my son thoroughly enjoyed. My son was not overly confident at the beginning but Mark helped him to get involved and use his imagination. I would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you The Creation Station, we will be back soon.
