How to make a pencil case from recycled plastic bottles

Method

  1. Take two bottles of the same shape and size
  2. Cut the top section of one bottle and the bottom section of the other bottle. Please ask an adult for help with this part of the activity.
  3. The bottle with the top section cut off will be used as a base - we will call this the base. The bottle with the bottom part of the bottle cut off, we will use to form the lid of the organizer.   We will call this the lid.
  4. Using a strong glue or a glue gun, attach one side of the fabric part of the zipper to the open end of the base.
  5. Attach the other side of the zipper to open the end of the lid.
  6. Make sure no glue gets on the zip otherwise it will be glued shut!
  7. Decorate your recycled pencil case how you want.
  8. You now have a very unique zipped recycled pencil case.
