“Mumpreneur” Sarah Cressall Reaches Finals of

Mum and entrepreneur, Sarah Cressall has earned herself a place in the final line-up of The Mumpreneur Awards, an annual ceremony aimed at celebrating parents throughout the UK who manage the difficult task of juggling business with family life.

The mother of 3  from Devon runs The Creation Station,  the 1st and most successful franchise arts and crafts activity business in the U.K. The business  was established in response to a need for creative activities that nurtured each child’s own imagination, with the support of the  parent, and the benefit of no mess or stress for the parent , carer or partner organisation to deal with.

Sarah has been shortlisted for the Best Interactive Business Award, sponsored by Hero Media, which is open to businesses who physically work closely with clients, where interacting is an integral part of the job. Having started The Creation Station in 2002 around the Kitchen table, with three children under three and a half, Cressall has now    inspired the creation of over  200,000 unique artworks by over 45,000  in over 10,000 classes, events and parties children families across the U.K. Cressall’s hopes that her passion inspiring children’s imaginations, for balancing work and family life and supporting her network of  45 female Franchise Owners will be good enough to earn  the prize.

As well as being shortlisted for this category, Sarah is also in with a chance of winning the title of The Inspirational Business Mum 2011, sponsored by Intuit, which will be awarded to the mum who is an inspiration to all women in business, and could walk away with a fantastic prize package including a family holiday at Haulfryn's Devon Hills.
Having reached the finals of The Mumpreneur Awards, Sarah said “I am delighted to have been recognised for my achievements in encouraging each child’s own journey of exploration and discovery, and supporting families to interact in an educational, fun and engaging way.  Plus my franchise owners often bring their own children to  their classes and they love the flexibility and fun that running their own franchise gives them.  I’m really pleased to have got to the finals in this award”

Judging Sarah's entry will be a panel of top entrepreneurs judging including BBC Dragon, Duncan Bannatyne, but Sarah will have to wait until 25th September, when the winners will be announced at The Mumpreneur Conference, sponsored by Yell and DHL Express, being held at the Heart of England Conference Centre in Warwickshire.
