Creating an inspiring Business for Mums at the National Franchise Exhibition- Stand M60

First time exhibitor at the National Franchise Exhibition.

The Creation Station, is looking forward to meeting women who want to achieve a great work-life balance  at the NEC on 3rd and 4th October 2008. The Creation Station’s award winning educational programme presents a financially rewarding and flexible business opportunity for women wanting to tailor work around their lifestyle and the demands of parenthood. The show also provides the perfect launch pad for the Creation Station’s award winning ‘My Creative Calendar’ that is packed with a year’s worth of ideas to keep children busy.

The Creation Station story so far.

The Creation Station started in 2002  and the first franchise was awarded in Nottinghamshire in 2007.  The company is committed to inspiring children’s imaginations and achieves this through a range of specially designed art and craft activities and products. The award winning ‘Exploration & Discovery’ sessions, designed for children aged 1 to 5 years, provide a fun and stress free experience for children and parents to enjoy together. During school holidays the programme is extended to include older children up to 11 years.
Due to increased customer demand for art and craft ideas and activities, additional revenue streams are now included in the Franchisees start up costs. These include an original and exciting arts and crafts party solution called ‘Celebration’, activity sessions called ‘Imagination’ for events and fetes, and the sale of Creation Station branded merchandise such as the popular child’s splashsuit and ‘My Creative Calendar’.  At the Creation Station, retail products are called ‘Inspiration’ because that’s what parents often ask for!

How The Creation Station supports the community

The pre-school market sector includes 3.6 million under five year olds and parents actively seek out stimulating and professionally organised sessions for their youngsters which support educational and social development. The Creation Station meets this demand.

The benefits of creative play are well documented and are highlighted in the Government’s new Early Years Foundation Study (EYFS) framework. However the messy reality of organising art and craft fun at home can be a turn off for parents. A lack of confidence in their own creative skills can also hold them back, prompting the search for activities outside the home.  The Creation Station’s copyrighted award winning ‘Exploration’ sessions for 1 – 5 year olds have been designed to encourage youngsters on their own journey of discovery through art and craft, allowing parents to enjoy a mess and stress free experience alongside them.
In a recent survey of 67 parents/carers who had attended the exploration sessions, 100% said their child’s concentration had increased after 5 visits. The Creation Station has now supported over 10,000 children and parents/carers and, with a Practical Parenting Gold Award, is on target to become the UK’s leading provider of specialist creative play.

Tailor made for Mums by a Mum.

Founder and Managing Director Sarah Cressall said: “With a start-up cost of just £9,995 The Creation Station is one of the most comprehensive and competitively priced franchise businesses available and has been specifically designed so that the parents and child both love coming- children love being creative and the parents love not having to clear up!" Sarah is very aware of the demands on a Mum and she added;
As well as being an easy business to operate, it works brilliantly around being a Mum; so for me, and our franchisees, it ticks all the boxes for achieving an enjoyable and satisfying work- life balance. I am looking forward to speaking to women visiting the show to discuss what they would like to achieve by running their own business and to see if we can help them achieve their goals.”
