Successful Business Woman Chooses Franchise To Fit Into Family Lifestyle
Lavinia Thompson had sold her first business and was looking for her next successful venture. This time she didn't want to do all the groundwork herself and was hoping to be part of an established network. The Creation Station franchise ticked all the boxes and has given her a way to balance her work and family life.
"I had decided that I couldn't look after my young family and be answerable to someone else at work. I wanted the independence and control of my own business and saw that with the Creation Station I could also be part of a team. The concept is so simple and marketable and it would give me a way to explore my long-neglected artistic side as well as earn a living," explained Lavinia.
In preparation for her first sessions in the Wolverhampton area Lavinia identified densely populated areas with a high proportion of young families and found venues close to local amenities. Her successful marketing plan attracted locals to her first sessions and caught the attention of local press.
"My classes grew by almost 100% week on week in the first month and my first half-term holiday session was fully booked well in advance of the date. This has been an encouraging start and I am confident I have found something I enjoy, that keeps me busy and generates an income without compromising our family life. Parents will always seek out new activities to stimulate pre-schoolers and kids will always love to paint so I don't see this business losing its appeal so long as I can keep it fun!"
