Children’s creative sessions ’raise money for charity’
Children doing arts and crafts activities in London were introduced to the Conservative leader's wife Samantha Cameron yesterday.
Mrs Cameron met with children at the charity Kids Company's south London centre and said the charity, founded by children's activist Camila Batmanghelidjh as "a wonderful example of just how valuable every penny raised by Sport Relief is".
Sport Relief is running events around the country this weekend to raise money for Comic Relief, which helps vulnerable people in the UK and in some of the world's poorest countries.
Little ones nationwide have been getting involved in fundraising at schools and nurseries, and mums and dads working from home could have the opportunity to run a sponsored mile in their own town to help raise money for charity.
Comedian Eddie Izzard last year ran 43 marathons, adding up to more than 1,000 miles, to raise money for Sport Relief, and David Walliams swam the English Channel for the charity.
More information about the Sport Relief Mile is available online.
